The Fudge factory is unlikely to appear before March 2024
Steve Grant is a recently redundant middle manager. He has some savings but has lost his family during the collapse of the company he worked for.
Newly single, he is looking for an alternative. He meets the owner of a small seafront kiosk which specialises in fudge. The owner wants to retire and on impulse Grant makes him an offer.
However, the supply chain is less than satisfactory, and Grant goes into production himself to stay afloat.
Help labour isn’t easy but part time help is at hand in Emma who is still at school, and later Richard who is something of a drop out musician.
This leads to the creation of the fudge factory, and later expands into the abandoned warehouse behind them. Or - they thought it was abandoned
The location is on a small harbour mainly given to leisure, but with a few crab and lobster fishermen.
Grant lives in the flat above the kiosk on the sea front promenade, where the now famous original scene with Verity takes place.
